Science Tutor

The Science Tutor will meet with newcomer youth (beginner to intermediate level of English) on a weekly basis. Develop youth’s biology, chemistry, and physical sciences skills in analysis and problem -solving. Encourage students to participate and make them feel comfortable when questions are asked. Be patient and respectful towards youth.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Youth Leader (Juniors and Seniors preferred)
• Must present a professional appearance and a friendly manner
• Must be dependable and punctual
• Respect and maintain confidentiality
• Spanish and/or Mam speaking preferred
• CPR training encouraged but not required
• Leadership, efficient, teamwork skills
• Advanced English
• Clear communication
• Well-organized

Time Commitment

• Twice a week for 3 hours
